Palm Sunday – March 28th – 10am Online | 10:30am Drive-In
Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week and the Sunday before Easter, which commemorates Jesus Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem. “As he was now approaching the path down from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the deeds of power that they had seen, saying, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest heaven!” (Luke 19:37-38).
Maundy Thursday – April 1st – 6:30pm Online | 6:30pm Drive-In
Maundy Thursday marks the official end of the Lenten season and commemorates the Last Supper on the night before Jesus was crucified. “Maundy” comes from the Latin “mandatum,” which means “commandment.” After Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, He said, “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35).
Good Friday – April 2nd – 6:30pm Online
On Good Friday, we remember the day on which Jesus was crucified. We remember how He was betrayed, arrested, denied, mocked, judged, and sentenced to death. While our natural desire is to “rush ahead” to Easter and celebrate Christ’s victorious resurrection, we believe it is important to “slow down” and recall the cost of our forgiveness, as well as the cross that Jesus calls us to carry as we follow Him. This reflective service will give us time to consider our sinfulness and Christ’s great sacrifice for us.
