A Ministry of River Road United Methodist Church
Who We Are
We recognize the significance of the learning process in the first five years of a child’s life-growing intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. That is why, at Open Arms Christian Preschool, we are dedicated to providing not only a positive and inclusive learning environment, but also one that enables children to experience the world through their own individual learning styles.

(Offered Sept. – May)
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Preschool Program is offered to children ages 15 months old to 5 years of age for 2 days (Tu/Th), 3 days (M/W/F), or 5 days (M-F). Our Preschool is a private school setting and designed to provide children consistency, structure, and a schedule that gives students the comfort and knowledge of their daily routine. Children are in attendance on their designated days no later than 9:10 am. Each day the children are in attendance they will engage in structured whole group activities along with smaller group activities that focus on the individual needs of each child.
We integrate special extra-curricular classes for learning such as much with the church Music Director, Chapel with our Pastor, Physical Education Class, Library in the Church Library, and Fellowship Fridays to promote giving and philanthropy. Children engage daily in learning centers that have been enhanced with current themes (these change out with each weekly & bi-weekly theme), time on the playground, music with bible songs, reading activities, morning meeting times, and a morning snack. Children are engaged through their morning and are excited to come to school each day.

Before & After-School Extended Day
(Offered Sept.-May & Summer Camp)
Before School: 8:00 am - 9:00 am
After School: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The before and after-school programs are designed to allow families the opportunity to have their children attend additional hours at OACP. Families that choose to enroll in the extended day programs can do so at the time of registration. Participation in these programs is only available to children that are in attendance for the Preschool Program. During after-school care, the children have lunch, rest time, and engage in afternoon classroom activities as well as outside play. The after-school program provides the children opportunities to explore new areas that require more time than the preschool program may allow.
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Each year, June – August, Summer Camp is offered at Open Arms Christian Preschool. Children that are enrolled in the school year program may attend and children that are new to the program are also invited to join! The Summer Camp Program offers an exploration of various themes for children of all ages! Summer Camp is offered along with before and after-school extended day programs (as needed) during the summer months.
