Welcome to the Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group at River Road UMC. This group provides a compassionate and confidential space for caregivers to share their experiences, challenges, and successes in a supportive community. Our goal is to offer a safe environment where you can find mutual support, social connections, and valuable information to help you navigate the caregiving journey.

What We Offer:

  • Mutual Support: Connect with others who understand the unique challenges of caregiving for someone with Alzheimer’s.

  • Educational Resources: Learn more about dementia and develop effective caregiving strategies.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Gain practical advice and methods to address common caregiving issues.

  • Social Connections: Build friendships and a network of support that extends beyond the group meetings.

Meeting Details:

  • When: 4th Thursday of every month at 11:00 AM

  • Where: Parlor

Our group is facilitated by experienced caregivers Bess Traylor and Ann York, who are dedicated to providing a nurturing and informative experience for all attendees. Whether you're new to caregiving or have been caring for a loved one for years, you will find understanding and encouragement here.
