We are a group of 6th-12th graders from a number of different schools seeking to live a life like Jesus. We do this through worship, service to others, and having fun and fellowship! Our youth understand that age does not limit discipleship or service in the kingdom of God (1 Timothy 4:12). We strive to be a ministry that cares for one another and hopes to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world. We meet on Sunday mornings for a time of discipleship and study at 9:30am in the youth basement.

Sunday School

Our youth meet for Sunday school at 9:30am Sunday morning in the youth basement. Our teachers use the Cokesbury curriculum, Bible Study 4 Youth, to dive into Scripture in a way that resonates with our youth and makes learning more about our faith fun and exciting! Come on down and join us!

Sunday Night Youth

During the school year, our youth ministry gathers Sunday evenings at 5:00pm for food, fellowship, and discipleship! We welcome everyone in 6th-12th grade to join us as we learn what it means to be young followers of Christ through fun and exciting activities! The youth gather in the fellowship hall at 5:00pm for dinner, then make our way down to the youth basement at 5:30pm for games and a time of discipleship. Once a month, we go off campus to enjoy other activities or serve in a mission setting. Interested? It is super easy to join us, even if it's your first time! All you have to do is come, and we will welcome you with open arms.

Contact Alex Lee at youth@riverroadumc.org if you have any questions, we look forward to seeing you!

Family Ski Trip

Every January over Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, our church family travels together for fellowship on the slopes! Many families with youth join this trip, making for a weekend of building relationships in addition to all the fun.

Summer Mission Trip

A significant portion of being part of a Church is loving our neighbors all around the world. Our faith calls us into a life of servanthood and giving, especially to those who are in need. Every summer, our youth go on a week-long mission trip that focuses on serving local communities by partnering with organizations that seek to help those in need. During this mission trip, our youth learn what it means to be Christ's hands and feet in the world in a literal way. We also have opportunities to learn and grow in our faith through spiritual formation and group activities.
